What is IELTS Exam?
IELTS is an English language exam that must be taken by foreign applicants who want to study or work in a country where English is the primary language of communication. The UK, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and Canada are the most common nations where IELTS is recognised for university applications. The exam primarily assesses the test taker’s ability to communicate in the four core English language abilities of hearing, reading, speaking, and writing. IDP Education Australia and Cambridge English Language Assessment jointly own and administer the IELTS test.
About IELTS
How to Prepare for IELTS Exam
Listening
The IELTS listening test will take about 30 minutes, and you will have an extra 10 minutes to transfer your answers to the answer sheet.
Reading
The IELTS reading test will take about 60 minutes. It consists of 40 questions. A variety of question types is used in order to test a wide range of reading skills.
Speaking
Speaking Skills test will take 11 to 14 minutes (the speaking test is the same for both IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training).
Writing
The IELTS Academic Writing test is made up of two tasks, Writing Task 1 and Writing Task 2 which having different set of questions in both.
